Description
El Matador State Beach is beautiful beach with its big rock formations and small caves tucked into the high rugged cliffs. It is down below California’s Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), with access via a steep flight of stairs. It was a bit harder for me at 74 than was on my first visit at 66, but I did it! There are many different varieties of birds on the beach and the rocks and, with luck, you may see dolphins swimming by. It’s a photographer’s paradise, but it is also relaxing for adults and fun for the kids who love running through the rock tunnels.
I hope you enjoy my photographs as much as I did taking them on that beautiful beach!
