Description
During our April 2006 visit to Japan we saw more people in one place than I can ever remember! Here are hundreds of them crossing a busy intersection in Tokyo! It would be even more crowded if it weren't raining!

Helaine, you're right this crowd is considered sparse in Tokyo standard! I've been there a few times and remember they close off the main street in Ginza on Sunday and the whole street is covered with heads as far as the eyes can see!

After we returned home from our visit to Japan, there was a TV show on Japan. We learned that an average of 1500 people cross here every light. It was raining the day we saw it so I imagine there weren't quite as many. Check out my video of this shot at: http://www.youtube.com/user/Hawkysmom#p/u/0/EGKnGthGK4M It was the very first video I made with my digital camera and the very first I uploaded to youtube!
